In a town known for its strict velvet rope policy and exclusionary nightlife scene, Aventine Hollywood  introduces adventurous diners to a new and refreshing concept that offers authentic regional Italian cuisine and a taste of Tinsel Town’s social passage for all.

This innovative and hip hot spot trattoria serves upscale Italian cuisine in a spacious beautifully blended rustic and traditional style dining room, and romantic grand patio and bar.

The joint venture  began  with  San Francisco brothers Gian-Paolo Veronese, a successful entrepreneur  with substantial experience in a wide variety of fields,  and accomplished Chef Adolfo Veronese. Together  with Los Angeles restaurant aficionados Sylvain Bitton and JT Torregiani they created a modern interpretation of the Italian trattoria experience where old and contemporary style is fused with the bounty of artisinal flavors and the contagious energy of Hollywood’s youthful spirit. The end result is the debut of the “social trattoria,” at Aventine Hollywood that embodies the convival essence of Italian cooking, the rural ambiance of a 100-year old trattoria, and a place where everyone feels like family.

Acclaimed Chef/Owner Adolfo Veronese found his passion for Italian cooking as a young child, while working with his father in their San Francisco restaurant, Osteria Romana. A graduate from the world-renowned California Institute of America in New York, Executive Chef Adolfo utilizes a diverse repertoire of techniques  to curate an innovative menu. He  became the youngest chef to hold a three and a half star rating in Northern California while at Elvvia Restaurant in Palo Alto. Since then the Chef has worked at premier restaurants around the nation such as San Domenico in New York, Drago in Santa Monica, Adolfo’s in San Francisco, Valentino, Las Vegas, Wolfgang Pucks Postrio and Fine Dining Group, and Tao’s Lavo in Las Vegas. Chef Adolfo’s newest venture Aventine Hollywood, is a contemporary twist on traditional turn of the century Italian cuisine showcasing prominent organic and seasonal ingredients, and nightlife scene.


Whet your appetite  with the Antipasti,  brimming with imagination. There’s olives-marinated Castlevetrano, Nostralina Toscana olive in rosemary, and lemon zest. The one of a kind Popcorn al Tartufo- black truffle popcorn, parmigiano, Italian parsley; Aventino-meatball stuffed with mozzarella, basil pesto, golden raisins, soft polenta; Arancini di Riso, fried rice balls stuffed with fontina, tomatoes, red bell pepper sauce; Gameroni, sauteed prosciutto wrapped jumbo shrimp, sage, balsamic glaze; Salumi-black truffle salumi, mortadella with pistacchio, prosciutto di parma, finocchiona served with balsamic cipollini, cornichons, whole grain mustard, piadina; and the mouthwatering Salumi E Formaggi platter.

Continue on your culinary journey with the Insalate E Zuppa highlights, Casa- baby  greens, grilled pears, roasted pine nuts, focaccia croutons, shaved parmigiano, balsamic dressing; Caprese with extra virgin olive oil, marinated wild mushrooms buffalo mozzarella roasted pine nuts, watercress salad with saba dressing; Insalata di Pollo-grilled chicken  breast, carrots, red onion, celery, arugula, radicchio, red potatoes, white beans, creamy sherry thyme vinaigrette; Polipo alla Griglia, grilled octopus, whole grain mustard, red potatoes, yellow baby frisee and basil oil.

Spark your taste buds with a variety of Pizza  that all offer a delicious surprise. There’s  Tartufo, black truffle honey, creamy bechamel and wild arugula; Pizza Al Carciofo- grilled marinated artichoke with tomato, buttata, and micro basil; Funghi, wild mushrooms, organic egg over easy, cream bechamel, parmigiano cheese, parsley leaves;  Meatball Pizza, housemade meatballs, sauteed red onions, fresh oregano, mozzarella and the popular Margherita with mozzarella, tomato and  basil.

Delicious treats await you from the menu’s Pasta E Risotto: Paccheri- jumbo tube pasta, basil pesto, blue lake greens, red potatoes, micro basil; Lasagna, meat ragu, bechamel, mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano; Ravioli Rossi, stuffed with short ribs, rice, Swiss chard. demi cream sauce Agnolotti di Zucca- butternut agnolotti, sage cream sauce, amaretto cookie crumbles, fried sage; Fettuccine Neri, sqouid ink fettuccine, penne cove mussels, clams, tomato-white wine broth, hot Calabrian peppers, and Italian parsley.

On the Acoua E Terra section of the menu Chef Veronese throws the spotlight on  such sumptuous dishes as Scottadito , grilled lamb chops with kumquat confit, fingerling potato chips, balsamic mint reduction; Sylvain’s Osso Bucco, braised veal shank, soft organic polenta, saute escarole, cremolata;  Salmone -grilled salmon farro salad, roasted bell pepper sauce, fresh oregano, fried parsnip’s ribbons, lemon-orange vinagrette; Branzion, whole grilled European sea bass, roasted potatoes, roasted veggies, oregano, citrus vinaigrette; Camille’s Pollo Parmigiana, tomato and white wine sauce, red B mash potatoes, beer battered shallot rings, fried Italian parsley, and Bistecca griglia del giorno, Adolfo’s daily steak special, all cooked to perfection.

A wonderful selection of Cocktails include Aventine Specialty Drinks- Bramble N Basil; Some Like it Hot; Negroni; The Bourbon-Ino; Cucumber Basil Gimlet; Aventine Manhattan; Adolfo’s Moscow Mule; Sazerac; and Sangre Y Maldacion.   There’s bottled and draft beers, and an impressive offering of champagne, and wines by the bottle and glass  include many from Italy and California. From wines of the world there are wines from Argentina, Morocco and New Zealand as well as Petrus Pomerol, Grand Vin France,1987,1992 and 1994.
